PALS Card Set  MDpocket Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) pocket reference cards are ideal for quick review of the latest acute care pediatric algorithms. This four-card set has easy-flow algorithms to guide you through the most daily used pediatric life support measures. Included within the set are cards for the Universal PALS Cardiac Algorithm, Universal PALS components with medications, Pediatric Bradycardia, Pediatric Tachycardia, PALS resuscitation medications list, and post resuscitation cardiac medications list. These cards are great for studying the PALS guidelines and are handy pocket references when you need it most. 2021 Updates Based on newly available data from pediatric resuscitations, the recommended assisted ventilation rate has been increased to 1 breath every 2 to 3 seconds (20-30 breaths per minute) for all pediatric resuscitation scenarios. To maximize the chance of good resuscitation outcomes, epinephrine should be administered as early as possible, ideally within 5 minutes of the start of cardiac arrest from a nonshockable rhythm (asystole and pulseless electrical activity).
